about me
I am a dancer, choreographer, educator, and digital media manager based in Brooklyn, New York. Originally from Rustburg, Virginia. I came to dance through competitive figure skating, where my early relationship to movement, musicality, and performance first took shape. I discovered my love for dancing at age 11 while training under Keith Lee at the Dance Theatre of Lynchburg.
My early training led me to the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where I graduated high school in 2017 with a concentration in contemporary dance, and later to George Mason University’s School of Dance, where I earned my BFA summa cum laude in 2021. Throughout my education, I received scholarships to study at institutions including the American Dance Festival, the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, The Ailey School, and The Taylor School.
Upon graduation, I joined Dance Kaleidoscope in Indianapolis, where I performed as a company dancer while also managing the company’s social media from 2021 to 2024. I relocated to Brooklyn in 2024, and currently work as a freelance movement artist with LaHa Dance Group, Sikora + Dance, 32nd Pack Dance Company, and more. Throughout my career, I’ve had the pleasure of performing works by choreographers including Micaela Taylor, Kyle Abraham, Rafael Bonachela, Ohad Naharin, Hope Boykin, David Hochoy, Martha Graham, Joshua Blake Carter, and Laura Halzack.
Alongside my performing career, I create and present original choreography, collaborate on curatorial projects, and work as a digital media consultant for arts organizations. My professional experience includes serving as Social Media Manager for Kaatsbaan Cultural Park and Box Artist Management, and Digital Media Manager for HBArts Collective and Sikora + Dance. My photography has also been featured in publications such as Harper’s Bazaar and Fjord Review.
In addition to my creative and consulting work, I’m a dance educator and a certified 200-hour yoga instructor. I’ve taught contemporary dance and movement practices in a variety of settings, centering curiosity, clarity, and sustainability in the body. My teaching is informed by my performance background and yoga training, with an emphasis on alignment, musicality, and cultivating an attentive, joyful movement practice.
I have had the great privilege to dedicate my life to movement, and the practice of presence that necessitates. I consider myself deeply fortunate, and extend my gratitude to every teacher that has guided me, which includes the incredible friends and collaborators I have the pleasure to work alongside.
